“I Drink Bleach” – May 2020
The story of a boy and his bleach.
This song is part one of our unofficial “Songs For The Quarantimes” series, several songs inspired by/related to the coronavirus pandemic. Sometimes something so dumb happens a song writes itself. We weren’t happy about it either, but at least we had some good material.
Why drink bleach? Because you’re free. Because you’re stubborn. Because you don’t give a hoot. This hard-rocking song is for the real patriots out there, partying on the beach despite the stay-at-home orders.
(But seriously, don’t drink bleach. It will maim you or kill you. Duh.)
Lyrics:
I drink bleach
Not gonna tell me what to do
I drink bleach
What’s good for me ain’t for you
I drink bleach
Hold my breath till I turn blue
I drink bleach
My god what a beautiful hue
I drink bleach
Hangin out on the beach
I drink bleach
Whenever it’s in reach
I drink bleach
I got freedom of speech
To drink bleach
To drink bleach
I drink bleach
And Hydroxychloroquine
I drink bleach
I swear I’m not dying
I drink bleach
The news, they’re falsifying
I drink bleach
Nothing quite as purifying
I drink bleach
Hangin out on the beach
I drink bleach
Whenever it’s in reach
I drink bleach
I got freedom of speech
To drink bleach
To drink bleach
It’s a free country that’s what I’m told
Who cares if I don’t get old
My life’s worth a buck, or maybe a dime
Anything to make the markets climb
I drink bleach
Hangin out on the beach
I drink bleach
Whenever it’s in reach
I drink bleach
I got freedom of speech
To drink bleach
To drink bleach
TO DRINK BLEACH
TO DRINK BLEACH
